SU Website Officer

My Role on the SU:

I manage the website; overseeing the day to day running of it and updating of its content by myself and other members of the Student Union as well as the executives of clubs and societies.

Although the management of the website is my main role, I also assist with other SU activites such as the student AGMs as well as being around to help with any matters related to the SU.

I work with every executive member on the Student Union in regards to the website, from the Sports Secretary through to the Publicity Officer. This ensures that every aspect of student life at Harper is up to date, online and availible for you to see.

I also work with student Services to post any relevant student news on the site, as well as advertising from buisnesses from which the SU makes a small profit.

What do you aim to achieve in your position?

I want to see more sporting photos on the website, seperate to that of the social photos. Photos really help to get students online and using the site and therefore seeing the news and information we are providing the student body with.

Also, the big improvement is to be the online shopping section of the SU shop. This is going to be a real success and will hopefully be online and fully running by the end of the academic year.
