My Role on the SU:

Hello there. My role on your SU is to ensure that all the Technical stuff is working, maintained and updated. I ensure that all the lighting, sound systems and CCTV work in both the SU Bars. I can also be seen on the DJ podium on some Wednesday nights with Andy (DJ-I-Wish-Irish) playing all those tunes that we cut some shapes to/boogie on down to/bang our heads to (delete as appropriate).
I also try to ensure that you get the most from your surcharge by getting newer kit such as strobes or foam cannons to make your Wednesday nights and weekends that much more special. If you have any suggestions for a Wednesday night theme pleases feel free to drop either Andy or myself a line.

Outside of the bar I set up sound systems on the sports pitches for charity games and upstairs in QMH for elections and other SU events.  

What do you aim to achieve in your position?

Mainly I want to make sure that you get the most for your money so I am to acquire new kit which in the long run is going to save us money and allow us to get bigger names and different events.
The lighting in the bar is a slow growing project which will carry on for a long time but my aim is to see some more intelligent lighting fixtures in the bar or something like a laser? What do you think?
