The SU Bars!!

Ah, so you find yourself needing a little drinky?

Welcome to the SU Bars!

Whether your a consumer of either alcoholic or non alcoholic beverages, the SU Bar Staff are sure to find you a tipple to keep your thirst at bay.

The Lounge Bar

The Lounge Bar is a Public Bar, and it's just been recently refurbished (May 2006). With a projector for those big sporting events, such as the Six Nations, comfy leather sofas, a pool table, darts and great beer on tap alongside tasty guest ales, you can't help but have an enjoyable evening here.

The Lounge Bar is open every evening from 7pm - 11/12pm, Thursday to Tuesday. On a Wednesday, it is open from 7pm til 9pm - with the Main Bar open from 8/8.30pm.

The Main Bar

The Main Bar is effectively the Uni's club. Fondly called the 'Cattleshed' by some, this bar is the place to be on a Wednesday night! An extremely long bar (all the better for being served quicker!), a large stage, UV lights, a DJ booth, friendly Bouncers (they are) and a large floor on which to shake your booty to all night long till the weeee hours. Aaah the memories!

Bar Entry, Code of Conduct & FAQs

Both of the SU Bars are fully stocked with all the usual spirits, lagers, ciders and bitters. Go on, give them a try! (Although, it may not be wise to do so all in the same night...)

The prices for the SU Bars can be found below, and you will find that the prices aren't as expensive as your local pub... and no more expensive than any student union bars, so no need to worry about your hard earnt cash!

The Main Bar is open on Wednesdays, from 8/8.30pm til 2am.

However, the Lounge Bar may shut early/be closed on a Saturday if there is an event in the Main bar. Also, either bar may close early if numbers are low and this is at the Bar Manager's discretion.
